Hi! Gareth Smart here -
I am a freelance Digital Designer with focus on roles as Educator, Animator, Illustrator, Graphic Designer and based in Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia on this place we call Earth. I have been fortunate in my career, starting 2002, to work broadly from print to broadcast to online and UI/UX with these fields covering professional sectors such as Finance, Insurance, Mining, Construction, Hospitality, Legal , Engineering, Construction, Entertainment, Food and Beverage, Technology as well as Higher Education and Training.
Though I have a preference for working In Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Animate, I do have working proficiency in the Adobe CC Suite of apps as well as some limited experience in Autodesk MAYA and Cinema 4D LITE. Always keen to add more skills and program knowledge to my tool set.
I am fascinated by universal story telling, visual language, what drives decision making and motivates people to take action, especially in the gamification of processes and personal choice.
Outside of work I love pouring over comics and animated movies, time spent in nature and with my awesome partner and two doggos - they make me smile.
